I’m on Pinterest almost every day…to leave a hint what we like as a gift for different occasions…if you’re in a relationship you need this…..Pinterest boards can…..
What inspired me to write this post?
“I’ve been using Pinterest for about 5 years and I’m still a big fan, I’m on Pinterest almost every day.” when I shared that with a group of friends the other day, I realised that some of them had no idea how to actually use Pinterest. The conversation we had afterwards gave me the idea for this post.
An obvious purpose
The most common use of any Pinterest board is to share what you like, admire or find it inspiring with others. From a beautiful DIY home project to your favourite celebrity style or an inspiring quote which you love.
Give a hint
I have a private board that I share with my close friends and my sister. On this one we share whatever we like to inspire each other as well as to leave a hint what we like as a gift for different occasions. So when there is a birthday coming up or during Christmas time all I need to do is to go through this board. Sometimes I don’t get exactly what they pinned due to high price or availability status yet I use those items as a guide to get them what I know they will love.
Yes I use Pinterest to avoid overspending specially during sail. I love shopping online, it’s faster, easier and instead of spending prime daytime on shopping I can do it during the evening while I’m sitting in front of TV. Some of my favourite websites like MassimoDutti, Zara or……… won’t allow to create a wish list. So during the Sail I used to buy many stuff which were not on my list yet I ended up buying them since the discount was amazing. As a result instead of saving money I could spend more money buying items that I didn’t want in the first place. To avoid this problem , nowadays I add what ever I like during the season but I’m not willing to pay full price for them to a secret board. Later when the discounts start I would go back to my board, click on the photos, and go directly to these items. I won’t check anything else on the website.
Sharing is love
Me and my husband have two shared boards. First one is to share whatever we see online and we like or think that it would be interesting to other person. It can be a place that we like to visit, a love song, an interesting article or a pice of jewellery. The list can go on and on. This is the board that we visit together from time to time. We delete whatever we have tried or bought or what we think is not relevant anymore. We also use it to plan our holidays or weekend getaways. Also it comes in handy when I want to buy a gift for him or when he wants to surprise me with a small gift here or there. If you are in a relationship this is a must have.
Dream big dreams
The second board that we share is dream house board. Whenever one of us sees a piece of furniture, art or even plants that we like to have in our dream house we add it to this board. It can be from a website or a magazine or photos that I took while I was at a fancy place. Then once in a while we sit down with a cup of tea and go through photos listening to each other’s ideas and discuss our choices. At the end whatever we both love will stay on the board. We started this about a year ago and still working on it. It’s a fun process and helps us to share our dreams since we usually end up talking about the whole picture and what we really want our life to look like in 10 years. I can’t recommend this enough.
The disturbing part was those deep reddish marks on her skin caused by her bra..Although there are no approved link between tight bra and breast cancer…
I saw a photo on Instagram showing a side shot of a woman upper body (I’m not sure that it’s legal to share it here so I won’t) which made me write this post. The disturbing part was those deep reddish marks on her skin caused by her bra. It was shocking. I didn’t think that there were still women struggling with this issue since there are lots of information out there about the importance of choosing the right bra size and how it can affect ones health.
I won’t pretend that I’m an expert. I get my information through reading and following studies on the connection between wearing bra and women’s health issue. First of all this talk on importance of wearing bra that every girl gets to hear around puberty needs to stop. No study has succeeded to prove any direct link between not wearing bra and saggy boobs, there is no evidence about that anywhere. So don’t wear any bra if you don’t have to, unless you have really big breasts and you need the extra support otherwise let your ladies be free and enjoy living. I won’t wear any bra unless it is absolutely necessary. I wear sport bra when I’m doing heavy exercise or when I’m wearing a reviling or a see through top.
The Importance Of Choosing The Right Size
On the occasions that you want to (or have to) wear a bra make sure that you have chosen the right one and I don’t mean fashion wise although that’s important too. Choose a bra that is not too tight, too small or big or completely wrong for your body type. The best and easiest way is to do your measurement at the same store that you’re shopping from. This will give you the best results.
There are four important parts of bra that you need to think about:
The center panel or bridge
None of these parts should put pressure on your skin in any position you are in yet leaving marks on your body. One always should feel comfortable while wearing a bra.
Some of the side effects of wearing wrong bra (small or big) are:
Back and shoulder pain
Blocking the lymph nodes and vessels
Ruining your posture
This is so important that I would say don’t shop at the store that won’t do the measuring for you. Why would you spend your money where they show no concern to your health? Think about it. That does not make sense.
Although there are no approved link between wearing a tight bra and breast cancer there are lots of women who ignored their symptoms since they were accustomed to feeling uncomfortable or even having pain in the chest area due to wearing too tight bras. As a result they had got diagnosis a little too late while we all know the timing is everything when it comes to cancer treatment. I remember reading some of their stories in an article last summer. I was in tears. The fact that a modern woman living in 21St century still can be ignorant toward her health and body is absolutely horrifying. While there are tons of articles, speeches and health centers that are easily available to all of us. We need to be more proactive and attentive.
Signs that Your bra is not right for you:
Feel any pressure around the bra lines ( 4 areas I mentioned above)
Keep pulling up the straps
Having pain in your shoulders, neck and back area
Your ladies protrude from side or top of your bra
Back of your bra keeps riding up
Big Breasted Women
Some of us are more blessed than others when it comes to breast size, I’m not one of them by the way, for these women it’s hard to go braless. They need a constant support to keep their posture and health intact. If you are one of those lucky ladies keep in mind that wearing a tight bra does not mean that you get the best support. It’s a common mistake that you need to avoid. Get a professional help at the store and find the right type of bra for your body. Ask them to do your measurement and remember that you can be supported and comfortable at the same time.
