How To Use Your Time Well?

Burberry Handbag

Hi guys

I had a friend when I was a teenager who used to do her homework on the way to school, in a moving car. I, on the other hand, couldn’t even look down at my book without feeling sick. I still have the same problem. I get carsick so fast that I can’t even text someone while I’m in a car, bus or train. Therefore seeing someone reading a book or working on a laptop makes me envious of them. They’re using the precious time being proactive while all I can do is to look out of the window avoiding motion sickness, such a waist of time. If you have the same problem surely you understand my frustration.

That’s one of the reasons that I love Audible. Since couple of months ago when I started to listen to my favorite books on Audible my life has changed. It actually lets me take advantage of the time I used to waist on my way to work or school. Nowadays I listen to any material that I find useful. Beside a huge range of books there are courses available that one can listen to, depending on one’s line of work or study.

Audible is part of Amazon company. As a result all Amazon prime members are automatically sign to Audible and can use it for free. Since I’m not a member, I pay 14,99 dollar monthly for Audible and I can say with confidence that it  is money well spent. Every member receives one credit every month that allows them to buy a book without any extra charge. That’s how I roll, all books I have in my Audible library have been purchased by monthly credit. I can proudly say that I’m building an amazing collection for only 14,99 dollar per month, which is a bargain.

Other reasons to love Audible is that one can have it on every device from iPhone to Pc. It’s the easiest app I’ve ever worked with. No matter how limited is one’s knowledge of using computers or smart phones, they can get a handle on it in no time. Therefore I think it’s an amazing gift for almost everyone. You can give a membership as a gift to anyone you love, paying for only one month or the whole year. I think that’s a gift of lifetime.

You also can share books that you like with your friends and family no matter where they are. For me that’s one of the huge advantages of Audible. Sharing knowledge is one of the most precious gifts. Also it reminds me of my childhood and all those books that my grandfather had bought me through the years. That was one of our family traditions. Twice a year he used to buy a book for all his grandchildren. Those books are still one of my most valuable possessions. The collection is his legacy in addition to be a reminder of his love and care for me . Now I’m trying to build a digital version on Audible, that will last forever , for myself and all those that I care about.

You can try Audible for two weeks free of charge. During this trial one can have two free audio books of their choice to listen to.

How To Style Your Hair While Wearing a Hat?

(Contains adlinks )

Hi guys

My favorite accessories of all time is a hat. You can top any outfit with a hat and be sure that you will look more stylish and stand out from the crowd.  Common misconception is that hats are for bad-hair days or when one can’t bother to wash their hair.  Although that’s a helpful trick you can actually style your hair according to the hat you are going to wear.

If you have a short hair push your hair behind your ears, pick a beautiful pair of earrings, wear your favorite hat and your good to go.

With a long hair there are a few more hair style that you can try.

-Side swept is the best. I pull all my hair over one shoulder ( I can fix it or  just let it sit naturally) and top it with a hat. This hair style looks good with all type of hats.

-Another hair style is a low knot bun. In this case free a few strings of hair around your face. It will give you an effortless look. This one is really good for a hot day when I’m out and about.

-A messy side bun is another way to style your hair while wearing a hat. I think this hair style looks better with a fedora or a sun hat (or any big hat in general).

-With a newsboy or cadet hat I prefer to have my hair center part and let them fall on my shoulder and hang around my face.

It depends on the style and material of the hat you can wear it on many different occasions. Hats are classic accessories that remind me of classic icons such as Grace Kelly, Josephine Baker and Katharine Hepburn. Weather it’s cold or hot a hat is always the best accessory you can complete your outfit with.

Best Hair Treatment (Expert Advice PartII)

Hi Guys

As I explained in my previous blogpost I sat down and had a heart to heart conversation about hair treatments with my hair dresser. Talking to a professional on any subject can be an eye-opening experience. One of the most important lessons that I’ve learnt during this process is to be aware of media and advertising power. Otherwise I will end up expending too much money without seeing any result. Just because a treatment (brand, style, color, diet……) is popular on social media does not mean that I need it. We all know  that but it’s easier said than done.

When you diagnosed your hair problem (check out my last blogpost to see how to do that) it’s time for solution.

DAMAGED HAIR

-The first step is to avoid any hair product that contains sulfate. There are lots of Sulfate-Free formulas that you can try. ” Stick to Sulfate-Free products no matter what.” She said.

– Olaplex treatment is one of the best available treatments right now. According to my hairdresser using it in coloring process provides the best results. There are many other treatments available that your hair dresser can offer you depending on which brand they work with. Some of the examples are Renew from L’Oreal Professional or Kevin Murphy Repair.Me treatment.

-One product that you must use at home is a repair serum which helps the split ends to repair. She suggested the Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative from L’Oreal Paris. ( please have in mind that I personally haven’t tried this one).

-Another treatment which is good for damaged hair is hair conditioner. According to my expert it is better to avoid leave-in conditioner. You can use them once in a while but don’t depend on them to nurture your damaged hair.

DRY HAIR

For a start, avoid washing your hair every day it will dry your hair even more. Trade your shampoo with a cleansing balm and wash your hair twice a week. Only doing this, dramatically changed my hair. I’m using No-Foam Cleanser from Redken and I’m loving it.

One thing that you Must-Do is using a hair mask once a week. Look for those that hydrate your hair. Dry hair needs to be moisturized and hydrated, not to be repaired. So pay attention to description on the package. Oribe moisture masque is my favorite. It’s a little expensive yet I think it is worth every penny.

Last but not least, be careful what kind of oil you use on your hair. Make sure that the oil you’r using can moisturize your hair otherwise it cause a build-up of oil in your hair which makes you wash your hair more often. Ouai oil is the one that I use.

As for saloon treatment ask your hair dresser for a Intensive-Hydra mask. Although weekly hair mask at home will help, you need a professional treatment once in a while.

Also it is a good idea – specially if you want to grow your hair- to have your hair trimmed every 3-4 month to keep it healthy.

The last advice is from me; your hair dresser is your hair best friend, find  a trust-worthy one and stick with them.

Note: I did not suggest any product for damaged hair since I can’t suggest something that I haven’t tried.
